Paule Stetson Loring and Don Bousquet were both cartoonists for the Providence Journal. Loring worked in the mid-20th century and drew political cartoons about the building of the first Jamestown Bridge. Don Bousquet’s cartoons 60 years later satirized the demise of that bridge and the building of the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge.
The current exhibit inthe JHS display case at the Jamestown Philomenian Library contains a collection of their cartoons and books.
