Exhibits at the Parks and Recreation Department

The main entry space in the Recreation Department features many old photos, signs,
and other memorabilia from the Jamestown ferry era. Before the Newport Bridge was
built in 1969, ferries departed from the wharf across from this building, connecting the
island and its commerce to Newport and environs.
