The Jamestown Arts Center and the JHS held a reception of art from the Nina A. Baugh collection and art from the Jamestown Historical Society collection. These selections, exhibited together, provide us a rare glimpse into the life of a young and gifted artist and into daily life on Conanicut Island in the 1920s and 1930s. Read about this exhibit, the story of the collection of the works of art and the collaboration between the Jamestown Historical Society and the Jamestown Art Center in this article in the Newport Daily News.
The exhibit is on display until March 5, 2016. JAC gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 10am – 2pm.
