Molds

October Town Hall Exhibit 2025

Stop in the foyer of the Town Hall to see this month’s exhibit from the JHS collection. The monthly Town Hall exhibits feature objects in the collection that are seldom exhibited.

Molds are used to shape different types of malleable materials into usable objects.  Among the molds on display are molds to shape wax into candles, a mold to create lead fishing weights, a shoemaker’s last used to shape a shoe, a mold to form maple candy pieces, and butter molds to create decorative butter patties.
