A Passion for Preserving the Island's History
January, 2026 Town Hall Exhibit
Stop in the foyer of the Town Hall to see this month’s exhibit from the JHS collection. The monthly Town Hall exhibits feature objects in the collection that are seldom exhibited.
The Jamestown Historical Society is enriched by the efforts of archivist Sue Maden. Items chosen for this display are only a small sampling of her contributions. They include a copy of her first book, Greetings from Jamestown, Rhode Island, which documents our history through post cards. Also displayed are items found on ebay, and souvenirs gathered from local events.
Please consider donating your Jamestown memorabilia to the Jamestown Historical Society. Contact the JHS Collections Committee at research@jhsri.org or visit the JHS vault in Town Hall, Tuesday or Thursday from 9 to noon.
