From the Collection – Season’s Greetings from Jamestown

Jamestowners have always enjoyed sending greetings during the holiday season and the Jamestown Historical Society has a number of wonderful examples in our archives.

Photos of iconic Jamestown landmarks often adorned the greeting cards.

Holiday cards by Jamestown artists were also a favorite theme. Jamestown Designs sold framed copies of holiday cards commissioned by Conanicut Marine Services from 1978 through the 1990s designed by local artists such as June Webb, Patsy McCandless, Sassy Ellis, Edwin Connelly, Fran Gorman, Alexandra Foley and Lorraine Cook.
