Summer 2018 Exhibit
Then & Now: Where We Stayed
This 2018 summer exhibit in the Jamestown Historical Society museum at 92 Narragansett Avenue was Then & Now: Where We Stayed. This exhibit opened Memorial Day, 2018.
Then & Now: Where We Stayed looked at the island’s past hotels and boarding houses through post cards and photographs in the Society’s collection.
This exhibit showed aspects of Jamestown you may never have known to exist, and challenge your memory with the images we have chosen.
Visit the museum this summer and learn more about Jamestown.
The museum is typically open on weekends from 1 to 4 in the afternoon starting Memorial Day. Throughout the summer, it will be open from 1 to 4 each Wednesday through Sunday. Please check ahead before arriving.
From Labor Day to Columbus Day, we return to the weekend-only schedule.
The society welcomes anyone interested in being a docent at the museum and greeting our visitors.
