Conanicut Yacht Club Exhibit

The newest JHS exhibit in the Jamestown Library displays Conanicut Yacht Club items from our collection. The Conanicut Yacht Club was founded in 1892.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, summer visitors to Jamestown often founded private clubs at which to meet and socialize. The only one remaining private club from the era is the Conanicut Yacht Club. Read more about the Yacht Club here.

Stop by the library and enjoy this interesting display. This display, and many of our library displays, was designed and installed by Rosemary Enright, Carol Lake, and Sue Maden.
