The August 2025 exhibit in Jamestown Town Hall includes cookbooks from island families and others created to benefit specific Jamestown organizations.

In July 1924 USS Shenandoah, the first airship to use helium, practices mooring and unmooring to the USS Patoka off Jamestown Rhode Island.

Ceramics were often decorated as souvenirs to commemorate events or sites. The July exhibit in Town Hall displays eight such souvenir plates in the JHS collection.

The JHS collection includes an English Blue Staffordshire transferware plate decorated with an image commemorating the 1636 landing of Roger Williams in Rhode Island. Transferware was a way of decorating pottery developed in the later half of the 18th century.

Camp Seaside Jamestown Rhode Island provided recuperation and recreation first for poor city dwellers and later for 4-H groups and campfire girls. By 1890 there were 342 children and adults listed.
