Jamestown artists sometimes worked with materials that are not normally found in an artist’s studio.

Before there was email, websites, Facebook and twitter, there was personal and corporate stationery.

The Jamestown Arts Center and the JHS held a reception of art from the Nina A. Baugh collection and art from the Jamestown Historical Society collection.

The exhibit committee, which is now under the direction of Suzi Andrews, has installed our newest exhibit in the society’s case in the foyer of the Jamestown Philomenian Library.

Stickers and decals have long been used to convey messages or support for ideas or organizations. During this upcoming presidential election year you may see a variety of stickers around Jamestown.

The Jamestown Historical Society recently received a $5,000 grant from the 1772 Foundation to help pay for much needed repairs at the Jamestown windmill.
