Library Exhibit – May 2018: Cartoons
Paule Stetson Loring and Don Bousquet were both cartoonists for the Providence Journal. Loring worked in the mid-20th century and drew political cartoons about the building of the first Jamestown Bridge.

Library Exhibit – June 2018: Weddings
June is the month of weddings. Our June exhibit in the JHS case in the Jamestown Philomenian Library features photographs and memorabilia of Jamestown brides and weddings, including a 1767 Quaker marriage license signed by all the wedding guests.

Restoration at Arnold Cemetery – April 2018
On April 14, Rhode Island Historic Cemetery Restoration & Awareness Day, a dozen JHS volunteers met at the Josiah Arnold burial ground to clean up, straighten, and reset some of the 300-year-old tombstones.

Library Exhibit – March 2018: Programs
The new exhibit in the JHS display case in the Jamestown Philomenian Library features Programs for events as diverse as the celebration of the opening of the Jamestown Bridge and the 60th anniversary concert by the Jamestown Community Chorus.
