SUMMARY:Trolley Tours
DESCRIPTION:The JHS will hold a series of trolley tours to historic spots on Conanicut Island on Sunday, August 16th.\nSunday’s trolley tours are organized by Jane Bentley, who will be your host and guide. Some of the sites on the tour will be familiar – what would an historic tour be without an acknowledgment of the Jamestown windmill’s place in island history? Others will be hidden gems, their histories known only to old timers. Jane was born and raised in Jamestown and has many stories to tell about the different areas of town from the North Light to Beavertail.\nThere will be three chances to learn about the island’s history: tours will be conducted at 10 am, 12 noon, and 2 pm. All tours are free. You can board the familiar Viking Tour trolley at East Ferry on a “first come, first served” basis.\n
