The new exhibit mounted by the Jamestown Historical Society in the miniexhibit case in the foyer of Town Hall features bottles of all kinds from the JHS collection.  The oldest bottle shown is a white porcelain perfume bottle from the colonial era.  The most recent is a water bottle with the town seal, given away at a Fort Getty event in May 2014.  Also on display are milk bottles from Jamestown dairies and a tiny glass vial for smelling salts – usually perfumed ammonia – used to revive someone who has fainted.

The exhibit will remain on display throughout February.
