The three houses on this year’s tour illustrate three different approaches to making old houses livable in the 21st century.

It will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 – 10am to 2pm.

The homes are
  • Preserve.  The almost unchanged Greene farmhouse at 55 Longfellow Road was one of the few buildings left standing in Jamestown after the British occupation of 1776-1778.
  • Renew.  The house at 23 Hawthorne Road originally had an unassuming exterior without the architectural decorations of its Shoreby Hill neighbors.  Porches and balconies now soften its façade.
  • Rebuild.  The tiny 1920s house at 16 Plymouth Road has been rebuilt into a net-zero energy home.  The transformation was documented on “This Old House” in 2017-2018.
Visit these three houses for $20 per person.Tickets can be purchased in advance through PayPal or your credit card, by clicking on this link. Same day tickets are available at 55 Longfellow Road by cash, check, credit card, or PayPal. Exact change or check will be accepted at all houses.
