Another year and an another opportunity to be the face of the Jamestown Historical Society at the Museum and the Windmill!
Judy Bell will be calling members soon, but if you know when you want to volunteer, send her an e-mail at email@example.com.
Orientation for the Museum will be Saturday, June 20. The first volunteer slot to fill at the Museum is Sunday June 21, 1-4pm. The Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday 1 to 4pm from June 21 through Labor Day, weekends through Columbus Day. Our summer 2015 exhibit in the Jamestown Museum is “Defending our Shores: Military Installations in Jamestown.” The exhibit portrays Jamestown’s critical importance as the guardian of the entrance to Narragansett Bay. The exhibit will be accompanied by a brochure explaining Jamestown’s important role in defending Rhode Island’s shores.
Orientation for the Windmill will be Sunday June 21. The first volunteer slot to fill at the Windmill is Saturday June 27, 1-4pm. The Windmill is open July, August and September on weekends from 1pm to 4pm.
So, get out your calendar and think about spending an afternoon or two sharing these two Jamestown Historical Society gems.
