The Naval War College Foundation and Naval War College Museum invite JHS members and their guests to a guided tour of the NWC museum. The NWC tour and talk by Tom Todd will take place Thursday, March 31. Car pools will leave Jamestown Museum at 10am.
The tour will include a presentation on the USF Constellation and its history –from its role in the earliest campaigns of the United States Navy, through its redesign and reconstruction and later years in Narragansett Bay and Baltimore Harbour.
Former Jamestowner, JHS member, architect and artist Tom Todd will talk about his construction of the model he built of the original USF Constellation. Tom Todd donated his model to the NWC Foundation and it is now prominently on display at the NWC Museum.
This JHS trip has been organized by the JHS Programs committee. Please email committee members Jim Buttrick at firstname.lastname@example.org or Eric Archer at email@example.com for further information about this JHS trip. Car pools will be arranged for this trip.
